My wind deflectors should be coming tonight and they have sent me an email saying how to fit them, they started talking about removing adhesive strip
Is this correct I just thought they slotted in

This is correct! They do slot in but have little strips to add grip I spose? They won't go far tho to be honest! Good quality product by the way!

Well they never came Very optimistic of me though did say between today and friday 
Just want to get them on

A quick question if you dont mind but do they do any damage whilst on or when being taken off if i did ever put them back to standard?

They are a piece of pie to fit, the glue runs along the top and is more like the glue that you find on envolopes - its not very good either but mine have been fine so far!

They shouldn't do any damage so long as you fit them correctly especially the metal pieces that come to help lodge the deflectors in place. If i remember rightly the spike bit needs to go facing outwards otherwise scratchy scratchy! (you simply put them onto the window and making the window go up and then hold it there and then bring it down and the metal piece should now be in its rightful place. The diagrams will help show you but they go in either corner of the deflector.

One ofther thing - Leave it for atleast 24 hours (fully up) rather than 12 it recommends, personally I find you get better and longer lasting results and helps everything get a bit more settled (all that rubber etc in the seal)

Mine have been stolen from car  , some low life stole two front deflectors and left rear ones on car. Want to buy again, but not sure now if I go for team heko ones.

No idea
But looks like you just can pull them from outside easily. They were also secured with metal clips, which were left on car.

Thats a shame dude dont let it put you off.. they must have been really good at that to get them out unless you left your windows down and how comes the metal clips were left on? Did you put them in after the deflecters so they secured the deflecters properly? The metal clips should of been the first to fall out

First I was very disappointed as I loved wind deflectors, they do look really good especially on black car. After I called myself lucky. Luckily no damage was done to the car. This happened on night time, and definitely both windows were closed. Yes i did put metal clips after installing wind deflectors. Wind deflectors sits between glass and rubber trim which is very flexible that makes them easily being stolen. I dont know if wind deflectors got damaged when removed this way. Low life's probably thought it will fit 2dr golf as well hence they only stole 2 front pair.

they are very easy to pull off with the window up....


Never fitted the metal parts myself
