Has anyone had Xenons fitted to a car with standard head lights?

How much did it cost?

MongyUK has an HID kit fitted to his normal headlights but if you look for JPC's car he has the fully speced xenons i.e the r32 standard equipment ones fitted so he will know what you need Im not sure but think he will supply them for an amount.

Did you have the HID levellers and washers fitted as well?

I already had washers as part of the winter pack. I don't have auto-levellers. The cost/work of having auto levellers (and washers if you need them) fitted is pretty high so it wasn't really an option for me. I haven't encountered any problems without auto levellers - but I am always aware if I have a heavy load in the boot etc. I haven't had any MOT problems.

Only problem is, sometime when going full beam it flickers - not sure if anyone knows this ?

When I fitted mine we did have to change a setting in VAGCOM because they were flickering loads, but I don't know if this is needed when fitting non OEM xenons...

But im not going to put in the washer etc.. as i asked my mot place and they said its fine.. not an issue. but can i ask something.. why are the kits that all do the same thing so varied in price! I have a supplier for a fe car parts that sells them to me for about £50.00.. but i have seen them from £75 - £150.. its madness!

Kris the auto levelers are about £350 which include the controller, sensors and wiring from Kufatec.de plus the instructions to do the job which surprisingly is quite easy to do.

If your going to do it go for the proper xenons as hids in standard headlights don't look very good IMO, and the light they give of to other road users is very off putting
