.... why do they call us and think we cans diagnose their cars for them with little or no information, apart from "its making a "whooooo" noise when i press the accelerator"?

I get this all day every day, they call the garage and say, Phil my car started making a noise what is it? i say what sort of noise? and the reply i always get is hmm i dont know but it wasnt there before :stupid:

My other half is pretty good and can explain whats going on

as for the pic above, ive got my jacket, im in the spec and on my way to recover the LONE WOMAN, in recovery talk that means get there ASAP :innocent:

Funny this actually happened to me today! I thought it was PAS pump, sent her to VagCo (I'm working away) it was PAS hose leaking

Si patched it up and topped fluid up and gave her a bottle of fluid :) top man

 a customer phoned me wanting to diagnose a noise on his engine over the phone with him holding the phone to the engine :stupid:
My g/f always breaks down as she doesn't put petrol in her car :fighting:

sounds about right! although my misses is becoming more interested in the cars and wants to start getting more into the 'scene' and start tuning her car a bit with my help. I thought it was a trap at first but she is getting more keen. Anyway she's getting the vw up! now so I don't think it will last. But at least I can live knowing that my partner won't own and tune a car that is faster than mine as that would just be  :ashamed:

Mines the complete opposite, doesn't hear a F*ing thing! I get in the car and it's knocking,whining,rattling! The whole lot! Ill ask how long the noise has been there then I get the "what noise" 
Last time that happend it was a 2K bill  :scared:
