Full leather is a PITA anyway, too slippy and cold.

No.. get a ED30, if you buy a normal GTI you will regret it.

I've had both and the ed30 is simply the better car imo

Evo said the ED30 was the best MK5 all rounder, but I guess the R is the best MK6 not the ED35
