New tires needed - who to go to?
« on: April 10, 2012, 09:47:22 pm »
Got my car MOT'd today at VW (because it's just round the corner from where I work) and it passed with flying colours.

But............Nicola from service did attempt to instal the 'fear of god' into me by saying I need new front tires due to there only being 3-4 mils tread on the tires!!!!! The front could do with changing soonish but the rears are just fine.

I'm looking at Camskill because they do Michelin PS2's pretty cheap at £130.50, but is there anyone I should go to over these guys or more importantly anyone I should avoid?

Cheers, Andy.

I've used blackcircles in the past using their all inclusive price that includes fitting at their approved tyre shop.
Without traction power is nothing!

Tried blackcircles 2 weeks ago. Ordered tyres sat at work waiting for delivery until 5pm. They called at 4.50 to state that they never had all the tyres in stock that I wanted, despite me having ordered them over 24 hours earlier. Had no excuse or reason for their rubbish customer service.

I used lovetyres instead. They are cheaper than camskill as well.

PS3s in stock.
