Indeed the stepped front end does look crap, I expect it's been mentioned on here but it's due to the nose height requirement needing to be level with the side impact structures.
Reading MotorSport mag this month and Newey was quoted as saying there was a proposal to put in a non structural cover on the 'broken nose' but as yet that's not come to pass. The Macca has a different and lower suspension set up and can do without the Gonzo (Muppets rather than anything else) nose job.
In terms of 'pretty' F1 cars my personal fave is the FW14B from 1992, Nige's championship car. Canon/Camel/Labatts livery etc.
Though given my surname is the same as Frank I guess it was always gonna be a Williams.
