The thing for me is that I can't imagine what it would be like to be anywhere near something like that. You'd never know what was coming if it was a direct hit but there is nothing to compare it to. Here's another one.

If the taliban are in the local area and looking for a scrap, its obvious.  All the local villagers literally dissapear.  Its what we call atmospherics

.... That's good to know because, whatever the rights and wrongs of the two sides in armed conflict, the deaths/injuries to civilians should always be avoided in my opinion. Human collateral damage doesn't cut it for me.
