AVIC F9110BT What we have all been waiting for
« on: May 03, 2009, 08:54:56 am »
Hi Guy's

Being a Pioneer seller (Home Audio not ICE) my rep sent me this link

http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/press/news/avic-f9110bt_vw_seat_skoda.html?utm_source=pgbrss&utm_m%20%20edium=social&utm_campaign=rssmbg

So it is going to be an option on new but will be available as a seperate item also.

I wonder what I can get one for if cheap enough I will have a nearly new AVIC-900BT going  :signLOL:
Golf GTi Edition 30-Grey - 5 Door - DSG
APS Re-Map, Milltek Non-Res Exhaust, R32 Brakes, Eibach Springs, Eibach ARB's, Carbon Speed Air Intake, Forge DV.
And much more to come.

Hmmm, not sure would need to see it in the flesh, seems to be allot of plastic going on there, and i dont like the offset look on nav/ radio units

I don't like having the double din adapter plate in mine so would put up with all the plastic I think as it will still look more genuine.

Its the straight swap idea I like

yeh guess so, just not a fan of all the plastic, would be better if that had the knob on it instead of making it ofset

I quite like the look/idea of that, any idea of likely ££££?

It'd surely have to be cheaper than an RNS510, or would it?

would go for one of these over the RNS anyday the sound quality will be miles better and much easier to expand due to having pre-outs.

The principal looks great but like 182_blue says it has alot of plastic around it and the screen seams an odd size at 5.8"

If it's based on the F900 (IIRC) then expect some slow startup times as well.

So for me RNS-510 with the Blaupunkt THA555 Amp and a good Sub FTW  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

I considered the blaupunkt amp but doesnt make sense to me amplifying a DSP processed signal with poor mid response.depends what kind of sound your after I guess.

FYI I heard the cost will be around 700 euros for this kit when it's released in July.

Can't be too far off being released now, so has anyone heard anything concrete about the price of these units?

Having that button at the side makes it a smaller touchscreen. 5.6inch as opposed to 7". There's a lot to be said for an extra inch or so!!! (ooo err missis! :rolleye:)
Golf R gone.
