thought i would join the forum as i have just bought a Mk5 Gti and what a car, i am middle aged and have had Mk1s and Mk2s and have just sold a Jetta Se Tdi 140 for the Golf. Just booked it in for coil packs under warranty, looking forward to modding it ,will try and put a picture on with photo bucket ..Cheers.. :smiley:

What mods are you planning?

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.

thanks for the reply..planning on getting a re-map stage 1,some eibach springs with prob some racing spoke alloys. It has the standard radio/cd so might try and get one of those big screen touch type.Whats yours like bud..

Boggo standard at the mo, 18" Monza 2 alloys, but about to  go Stage 1 as well. Just trying to decide where to get it done! Had quite a few cosmetics to sort out first, and a big service including getting cam follower sorted. It's important to make sure your car is tip top before getting it mapped apparently. Love driving it, it's the best Golf I've had so far.

Ahh right whats the crack like with the cam follower is it a weakness??
