AirBag Fault
« on: March 05, 2012, 08:07:25 am »
Hi
I added an aux unit to my car on Saturday and in doing so when I removed the top vent dash and the cd player and then fitted it all again I have an Air bag fault light come on
Anyone know how this might have being caused?

Yes. I think everyone has done this once before.

When you had the centre of the dash board out, you probably turned the ignition on. Because you unplugged the airbag warning light connector whilst 'ignition on', this will show up as a fault.

It will need someone with VCDS/VAGCOM to clear the code for you.
