I'm going to have to pull out of the voyeur section.  :sad1:

Would have been nice but with the baby coming out the sunroof I'm needed at home.

....I shall probably get into trouble with Hedge for butting in but I feel confident from my own experience of organising Dyno-Days at JKM, that JKM really don't want everybody turning up just in time for their own runs on the rollers. In other words, everyone is expected to arrive at 9:00am unless delayed by unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. Shall I get my coat?...........

On the other side of that, do many people stay till the end?

I have a two hour journey and being there for 9 means getting up insanely early on a weekend, espeically as its someones leaving do at work on friday night!

Im seeing if I can make a day of it down portsmouth with the mrs

Whats the briefing all about, not had one of those before at a RR day.

Staying until the end doesn't matter, Dan.

Everyone except those living locally have to get up early. I have a 2-hour journey too but some have far longer journey times and they make the effort.

As Robin says - Everyone needs to be here at 9am to sign on and for the safety briefing please - due to not knowing what time we will finish as these events are very much subject to who actually turns up and any issues with cars then we would hate for it to all be finished by the time you turn up for your run. So everyone at 9am please.

That's just lazy. I know I've been up from 4am to get to JKM and I know others who've gotten up earlier. Definitely attend the briefing but there's no compulsion to stay until the end (though it's courteous).

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Its not that im being lazy, its just that ive not been to a rolling road day before where you need to be there from the start, so didnt quite understand the reasoning behind it, but I do now, so will endevour to get there as soon as possible.

A few of us are meeting at the Esso garage in Princes Road, Dartford (M25 J1b A225) and leaving there at 7:15am. If anyone else from Essex/North Kent/near by fancies meeting up and joining the convoy they are more than welcome happy2:
