i am sure I was running around 135bar.  I would be shocked if they was running 150bar as the rs4 valve could not cope with that.

I was just in the process of changing the LPFP before I left.

 :driver:

Maybe they have changed the RS4 valve to something larger or maybe it can handle 150bar I don't know but they are running 150bar.

Maybe its a valve from the 2.0TSI as that is able to run 150bar standard

it is to do with how much they flow,  I think they crack also.

Would be good to find out.

You can buy 145 and 155 bar fprv's too. The RS4 valve has a 136bar return pressure, but that doesn't mean you can't run higher fuel rail pressures, it just means that it is harder to maintain the pressure from the low pressure side.
Golf R gone.

R-Tech seem to be the ones who are pushing the boundaries of the K04 at the moment.  Havent seen them post in a bit though.  Id like to know if it makes the gains on a K04 or if its only GTX28 and ihgher turbos which yield the benefits?

Hi all,

I have been offered a real good job in OZ so might be working there for 2 years   ( would like a TTrs when I get home)

So I am thinking of selling my car for 10k pm if your interested. (engine has only done 16k - 34k on the clock)

I am sure you could break It and get more money but im on the other side of the world.

Cheers

Still one of my favourite build threads this  :notworthy:

Well worth a read from start to finish. No one has pushed a K04 this far since  :sad1:

Does niki recommend this though? When the average joe comes in with similar spec he doesnt push the turbo that far on a regular basis and send them home kickin the ass out of a k04.. From what i recall the owner was was just testing the limits?

Nah it really isn't recommended, it will probably shorten the life of the turbo (although I'm no expert here).  It's a really peaky curve for the power and all that power comes in quite early in the rev range. A K04 hybrid would give a much better curve.

I've been a passenger in this car and it really is MENTAL

James wanted all out crazy power, and that is exactly what he got. Niki spent 3 days and 2 tanks of fuel getting this right on the dyno.

At JKM dyno day it made more power than a BT setup and nearly pulled itself out of the dyno  :scared:

Niki wouldn't send any average joe with this level of power, unless they understood what they were letting themselves in for (like James) it's a real specialist setup.

Would love to see what Niki could do with yours Pikey  his new VVT mapping would help to spool that turbo earlier for starters  :notworthy:
