DIS stuck in "time travelled"
« on: March 01, 2012, 08:14:25 pm »
Hello fellas, friend of mine has an 06 GTI and the DIS is stuck in distance travelled, won't change with toggle on the stalk. Tried a new stalk and logged for faults and nothing is stored. He says its been like this since he had a front end bump 6 months ago. Any ideas  :happy2:

cheers guys :drinking:

When you reconnect the battery, the steering light will be on so put full lock to the left on the steering wheel then to the right after which straighten the steering wheel and drive a short distance. The light should go off.
Without traction power is nothing!

Have you tried rubbing the dashboard with bacon, and then burying the bacon in the back garden?  :happy2:
