nice job fella. I was intending on getting a red golf, but didn't at the time and ended up with grey, but i'm happy with it.
I've been umming and ahhing about the black bonnet section, but still not sure on doing it on mine. The roof yes, just not sure on bonnet. Suppose I should, then just strip it off if I don't like it. Oh well!! lol
Not sure on the fog grills, but each to their own.
Maybe get the skirts and mirrors in gloss black too?

You could always just do the roof first than decide after if you want the bonnet.... :happy2:

I'v got gloss black mirror covers already but just ben too lazy to put them on...... :sleepy:

I think the front grills would look better if you had them filled and smoothed to get rid of the honeycomb?

Thats an interesting idea never thought of that..... :drinking:

BUT after speaking to all my friends they all said...everyone of them that it looked better with black fog cover grills so i think i will go back to that...... :signIWS:

so I guess all you guys were right..... :P :P :P

but i will diffenently look in to how to get rid of honeycomb on fog covers as i think as jaywoo-gti said it would probably look better.

I think the grilles would look better if they were filled in, rather than left as they are. Smoothing over that whole bit could give a fantastic look.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I'm not the best person to ask. Ask a bodyshop?

You may be able to fill it in yourself using a proper car body filler, primer and paint.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

....

Not really a solution if you are trying to save money! But : -

Or, you could get the cheaper fibreglass versions and black vinyl wrap them to match your bonnet and roof.
