APR HPFP and intercooler
« on: March 07, 2012, 09:46:27 pm »
Im about to bite the bullet and get an APR HPFP and Forge twintercooler. Does anyone know of any companies who are doing a good deal on the price of these at the moment. I wont be able to opt for  fuel pump rebuild as I cant have the car off road.
cheers

tried Gregg at APR UK, but it seems JKM is best price for fuel pump.
Il have a look at GNJ for the intercooler, but may end up just going with Awesome.
The APR intercooler looks good to, but it is pricey, and would have to get it shipped from america

There's always the ths intercooler. I had the forge fitted last week and I'm happy with it. Easiest to fit out the others aswell

i was keener for the forge as it seems a lot easier and quicker to fit. it may not get as good gains as APR or THS but im not looking to track the car any time soon. just a bit of fast road use.

I think the general feeling is that people would prefer the cam follower to be softer and be replaced, than have a hard cam follower and wear the camshaft down
From what I gather the normal ed30/s3 injectors flow enough fuel unless you are going big turbo

He already said in first post he didn't want car off the road for exchange hpfp.
I think gwentvw also do an exchange service when I was looking. They are also cheaper for new pumps than apr uk

I'm pretty sure it will have to go back to America to be rebuilt.
