Click notify at the top of the thread  :happy2:

I don't want to be notified of anything that's the point

Or are you meaning if i click notify and then turn it off it will remove it from the "Show new replies to your posts" link

He's not taking about that. He's talking about the links in the top right - show unread posts and new replies. These just show the threads that have had new replies since the last visit. The problem is to "get rid" of a thread, you have to click on it. OP is not interested in knowing about new replies to certain threads.

I'm wanting the same as Carl, particularly because for reasons unknown the forum software doesn't notify me by private email anyway of new replies in threads I have posted. So I have to rely on using the forum header link "Show new replies to your posts", which is great except when I want to unsubscribe from a thread (especially when that geezer called RedRobin has taken the thread so far off-topic with pics of hot babes etc etc).

On other forums, the software has a user option: "Unsubscribe" from a thread you have previously posted in < That's all that's needed.

Click on "Profile" at the top then on the left "Notifications and Email", this will show a list of all topics and boards you have notifications enabled for and allow you to unsubscribe from them.

Steve

This isn't for Notifications as i haven't ever selected notify in any topic. When i go into that section it says i don't have any.

This is just threads i have replied in.

OK, I see what your getting at now, and there is no way to change this as this "Show new replies to your post" option is a generic function that display any thread you have posted in regardless of notification settings.

But, unlike Carl, when I go into Profile > Notifications & Email, I do see a list of those threads I have subscribed to and I'm then able to tick boxes to cease notification. So it works for me as you suggested, Steve.

I haven't subscribed to any threads RR thats why. I just use the new replies button.

So even if you unsubscribe any topic you have posted in will show up by clicking that link :happy2:
