It says it works with CAN so in theory it should work on a mk5.

My dad got a similar one for his old Fabia, they're ok if you want to reset an airbag light or get an ambigious fault code.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Perhaps not worth the money then. If it just turns off the airbag light and dosnt give true readings :sad1:

Do you have an Android Phone ?
If so what about one of these [ebay]110761891151[/ebay] and the Torque app from Android Marketplace?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm9yZy5wcm93bC50b3JxdWUiXQ..

Got one a few weeks ago to compliment my Vag.com set up.
Good for scanning and clearing fault codes, logs and the guage functions are good too.I just leave the dongle in the car and pull out the laptop when i need to do more involved vag.com work.

Torque cost me £16.93 all in.

I've got the same one as in the first post and it's worth it's weight in gold.

.
So worth the £20 odd pound . If it gives me a code and clears the fault better than paying £60 at a garage every time  :drinking:
