Which revision was the best?
« on: March 18, 2012, 12:24:45 am »
I know from 2004 the mk5 gti had a number of revisions.

I remember reading an article detailing which year gti was 'the one to get' but cant find it for the life of me.

I have a feeling it was the 2006 model as this had a leather steering wheel, blue window tints, something about an aerial and something about the center console buttons?

Mine's a 2006 with blue glass, but don't they all have a leather wheel? I can't imagine one with a placcy job!

Around '06 they changed a few bits. Blue tint to green tint on the glass, removed the arieal from the rear window (no roof arieal) to the remote control car look roof arieal, changed the front fogs from projector style taking H11 lamps to normal style taking H4 lamps.

Earlier cars also had a few more colours to choose from (laser blue and graphite blue) and I'm sure the colour o the interior changed at some point on the later cars aswell to black from the grey colour
