Why would DSG change at peak torque though?  thats at 3000rpm (ish)

Sorry i misread your post.

That's the thing that annoyed me about the stock dsg software, trying to catch the gear change at the redline before the ecu does... Loads better with the dsg remap. BUT, I do get a bit of a thump when short shifting on WOT, just a fraction too aggressive

Still happens on mine with the rear engine insert, but it's much less of a 'clatter' now

to change from red-line 2nd, to 1st would massively over-rev and could pop the engine.. :sad1: :sad1:

On my 2+ ED30 if I go flat out and change gear early (about 4K) it's very agressive! Shunts the car, only since my DSG was mapped
