Paintwork recommendations - Leeds
« on: March 12, 2012, 06:35:55 pm »
Hi guys.

Bought my Tornado red Ed30 about a month ago knowing that it had had the front bumper (stone chips) and rear bumper (scratches) re-sprayed but the colour doesn't match perfectly and it is doing my head in!!!!    :sad1:

It is a professional job and most people wouldn't even notice it but in certain lights I can tell the difference.

I need recommendations on a good quality paintshop near Leeds (I'm actually in Wetherby) and how much people think it might be.  Any help appreciated   :happy2:

Whilst I'm at it I might aswell get the bonnet done (stonechips).  Is red more difficult to match up than other colours??

Red is indeed harder to colour match perfectly

The Skoda dealership in town is VW approved and good quality. Not too badly priced either iirc

Plastics never seem to match perfect to metal panels - look at new cars in showrooms to see the difference

as above ^   plastics never match metal panels exactly.  but on the other hand it could be a badly matched paint job on your car, hope you get it sorted  :happy2:
