New GTI Owner Tuned Help Please
« on: March 15, 2012, 02:39:39 am »
Hi guys just purchased a GTI and I have not regretted it one bit. Was in two minds between a type r and GTI and after test driving my friends there was only one way to go. I will post pics up later but hoped some of you could help me out with a few questions I have Regarding the car. I bought it tuned from a trader however they were unsure of the exact power. I will list what has been done to the car along with mileage etc and I'm hoping some of you will be able to tell?! One thing i will say it is VERY quick or feels quick.

GTI 05 plate
55,000 miles

It was tuned by Statller
Evoms Intake
Turbo boost 3inch exhaust
Autotech Fuel Pump
GIAC extreme software (Ko3)+stage 3 gearbox software

Tarox Brake Discs and pads

The car has also had 90% of its services done at Awesome GTI which I hear is very good along with Statller. Any opinions on these two companies too would be much appreciated.

How are you all adding pictures into the posts tried pasting and wont work :s

270-280bhp

providing the ecu map is a stage 2+ (or stage 3 as some tuners call it)

Cheers for the reply yeah I just called up Statller and he said it is at least 280-290bhp not sure if he was exaggerating or not. What would be the next stage if i wanted to get the car to 300bhp plus what would i be looking at cost wise and what would need to be done. Sorry I'm just all very new to this but it excites me! Also by making changes to the car like this have any of you experienced any downsides besides the fuel gage doing down  :P

In addition to this from a standstill my wheels seem to spin no matter how easy i am on the peddle, any tips?

different turbo, swap for the ko4 but then the drive of the car changes due to that turbo not spooling as quick as the ko3. The gti engine on standard internals will give you 320-330bhp max on a bigger turbo afaik
