It's the same feed though? It's only the pre and post program that would differ

i agree that the coverage wasn't as good as the Beeb but i really dislike the Beeb now for selling F1 fans down the river.

Georgie - you'd think she was fit if you saw her stacking shelves in a supermarket but nah typical sky bird with too much make-up and big hair and then sounding a bit common

Lazenby - ok but not as good as Jake Humphries (who i thought was a bit too anoying at first - i'm a little boy who's dream has come true, look at me, look at me - but who i thought got better and was pretty polished at presenting F1 just a few races in

Croft - perfect excitement levels for practise, for which he's done a very good job for a while now - he makes it seem interesting. However as someone else said when it comes to the race he needs to take a chill pill, slow down instead of trying to say all his sentences for the next 5 minutes in the next 5 seconds and pay more attention to what is actually going on.

Pinkham - competent enough though no Lee McKenzie but if she instructs one more person what to do after she's finished interviewing them (something like "well go back in the garage and enjoy it".. to Button's Dad WTF?!) i'll track her down and slap her silly myself (possibly with a different appendage than expected  )  :chicken:

Brundle - fine

Hill - Good

Kravitz - Good

overall 7/10

oh and as much as John Button is a nice man, i don't really care what he thinks or is going through part way through the race. By all means have a word with him after the race if his son has won but really who gives a frigging in the rigging?

I'd class coverage of the race as the program from start to finish, not just the race segment.

Having had a bit of time to dwell on it, I'll be the first to say it: I didn't think the coverage was nearly as good as the BBCs.

lol...should of put a wager on that was coming :signLOL:

I thought as a F1 ethusiast, with all the features offered including the Red button interative, I thought was excellent.

Not a bad effort for a 1st Grand pix, which I remember certain people saying the same when BBC started the coverage from ITV   :stupid:

Oh of course the full coverage is better but comparatively the BBC coverage is better IMHO.

After watching quail live yesterday morning I wasn't convinced.

Great to hear Brundle but Crofty was so excitable an annoying. So for the first time in years I didn't watch the whole race so opted to watch the BBC highlights this arvo. It's such a shame as the old format was perfect, now I like bits of both not not all of either!

Great result for Button and a shame the little German jumped Hamilton during the SC. Agree with everyone else that it's time for Lewis to change the record and grow up!!

She was the reason he had a bad season last year.
I thought it would be his season this year until he got back with it......

On coverage, cant say, I was on a plane lol, but watched the BBC on my return rather than Sky, maybe next year when they had chance to get on groove it will be better!

Seems like the BBC is loosing it as they have now given up horse racing too. To be honest although sky f1 wasn't bad i think even when ITV had it, it was better than sky.
I just think that no one can do it better than the BBC with Jake, DC and EJ

As for Lewis and that thing he calls his girlfriend, he needs to chill out on the woman thing and do what he does best with NO distractions!!!!
Racing is the name of the game and women are nothing but a pain!!!! :P

The BBC is publicly funded. They simply can't afford luxuries like F1.

Yup then BBC Sports budget has been slashed hence the loss of various sports.   :sad1:
