Does anyone know why Williams use Bottas instead of Bruno Senna in Friday practice? I've noticed it the last few GPs...

Bruno Senna could do with the experience also. Although i doubt he'll be rushing to get into the car today.

Yeah, but surely Bruno would benefit more, particularly in terms of car set up...

I'm afraid it comes down to who is paying the team the most amount of money as Bottas comes with big sponsors. Also word from a Williams fan I know is that Bottas will replace Senna next season.

Very heavy rain indeed at Silverstone today.

Watching it now and people are leaving already. Seems a shame for all the fans that have paid to watch nothing.

EDIT: Cars on track  :popcornsoda:

Apparently they've had to move the campers to the carparks and so people arriving in cars are delayed by about 2 hrs to get into the circuit. That's still much quicker than at Castle Combe at times and that's in the dry!

I'll be watching from the dry comfort of my couch at home this weekend.

They were saying there is less parking this year due to the farmers refusing to open their fields and charge people because of how boggy the ground is. I've only ever been to Castle Combe once and that was for Japfest, getting in and out was a bit of a joke.

Looks like Bruno Senna will be doing the same after that shunt.

Yep, JapFest at Combe is possibly their most popular event. Access when I went was a bad joke and I had a special pass.

Am looking forward to the Quali on BBC2 tomorrow.

I was there today and the traffic was shocking.

We got in ok with no problems but when we went to leave about 4.30pm everywhere was jammed solid and nothing was moving.  There were still cars trying to get in! We just went back in and watched the Porsches, wandered around for a bit then left about 6.30pm and things were sort of ok then.

The F1 cars were out pretty much all of the first session but probably only about half an hour of the second.  Shame it was wet as would of liked to see the Historic F1 cars giving it some!
