Interesting, I wouldn't have predicted this to happen - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19489930

Very interesting. I am still not to sure about that, think i will wait until the dotted line has been signed before believing it. I would have put my money in Whitmarsh getting the elbow at the end of the season. He never appears to have any control on the team goings on.  :happy2:

Can't say I would welcome that move if it does happen. I for one think Lewis's best chance of another title is with McLaren, and if loyalty does ever come into it he should stick with them as they have done with him during his 'stroppy' period!

why do peeps always think the grass is always greener.....   :stupid:

Thought he was a McLaren boy through and through, head has been turned by his new management company, if if wants to pick up £20 million a year instead of £10-£15 million but finish down the field, good luck to the fella.

(will no doubt be proved wrong and he will win 10 races next year in a Merc)

It might be just part of a negotiating strategy. Hamilton is currently in negotiations for his possible future with McLaren and a rival's interest (Mercedes) could encourage McLaren to put more on the table. Though when you make ~£15million a year, do you really need ~£20million? Perhaps that Pussy Doll is much more expensive than we think, although she must earn a pretty penny in her own right.

You quickly get used to however much or little you live on. I don't want much, I just want a lot of it!

I'm tempted to think EJ is making a prick of himself..... again.

I can't say I really care for Hamilton. He has raw talent, but still comes across as relatively inexperienced. The early signs this season were that he'd matured and left the stroppy antics of last season behind him, but tweeting telemetry data?

I agree that Whitmarsh seems largely useless. Perhaps that's where his beef is.

when was the last time mclaren won the drivers title and constructors?

How often over the years have mclaren thrown away points.

When was the last time mclaren had a car that dominated?

Time for him to move on, mclaren are always the top, but never the best or quickest.

And never having team orders whilst all the other teams do shot macca in the foot alot over the years post hakkinnen

I've got to say I've completely gone off Hamilton. I used to be a big fan of his but the past couple of years has shown how immature he is and how he cant handle it when things dont go his way.

Shame as I still maintain him and Alonso are the best drivers on the grid and can hussel an under performing car up to a position it doesn't always deserve.

He does seem to have lost it a bit though and not sure his new found addiction to twitter is all that good for him.

Ever since he lost his dad as management, he's lost the plot! He doesn't need the same management as David beck ham and the spice girls, he needs someone who knows F1 and the politics...

Personally, I think Hamilton wants to be in a Lotus, he feels that is the fastest car, though if Kimi can't win in it...

Massa will move out, poss Kimi back there and Hamilton at Lotus...? Mercedes would be a step back...

If the lotus was the fastest car Kimi would have won a race by now. He's potentially the best driver on the grid.

Would think it would be a better move for Hamilton to go to Red-Bull, but then he'd spend most of his time crying that Vettel is too quick for him to keep up with, and then become a number 2 driver for them. I can see Massa being replaced and leaving F1 to move over to the US Kart to be with buddy Barrichello.

Yep, if Ferrari were interested in having Hamilton I reckon he'd love to.....   Oh, just a minute....   Lewis's old buddy Alonso is there and very very well established....  Every driver would like to be able to say they drove for Ferrari. I'm sure that Alonso will stay there until he retires - He's now family.

In spite of his strops and occasional stupidities I can't help but like Lewis and when his car is running well he's on fire and an absolute joy to watch.

Hamilton is quicker than vettel, and kimi.

Alonso and Hamilton are the two best drivers.

Button is journey man, only a WDC due to a dominating car. Mclaren will be in trouble without a top driver.

....I agree. There are other great drivers currently in F1 but Alonso and Hamilton are the best IMO.

It's still extremely difficult to predict who will be this season's Champion. Such a shame that both Alonso and Hamilton got taken out of the Spa race.
