Hamilton seemed a cut above the rest in Quali, said that a couple of times this year and been proved wrong come race day. Lotus boys "appear" to be pretty strong as well.
Interesting to see teams/drivers not even bothering to set a time in Q3 just to save tyres, would rather be on the front row than on the 4th or 5th row like Vettel or Schumacher.

I thought he was gonna get a 5 place grid penalty or his q3 time stripped so either way he would've been starting in P6. Heavy penalty to take, especially if he was told to stop on track

Give me strength! What are McLaren up too, such a good Q3 lap as well. On a brighter note, just put a tenner at 11/1 for Hamilton to finish on the podium, should keep me interested (if he gets past the first corner)!

I saw that Hamilton stopped his car out on the circuit but why the penalty? What did he do wrong?

He ran out of fuel. He needs to have enough fuel to get back to the pits and provide a sample. Simple.

This is incompetence on a whole new level for Mclaren, not putting enough fuel in is school boy stuff. All the errors in the pitstops are not good enough either and has cost them dearly so for in every race, someones head should roll for these joke mistakes "cough" Whitmarsh "cough".

I have to sympathise with Hamilton. Last season he lost his head and only had himself to blame. He looks to have got back on track and it's his team letting him down. It's crazy.
