There goes next seasons coverage. Jake is moving to BT to host Premier League football

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19635534

....Oh F•CK !!!! That's really bad news! I really enjoy Jake's coverage - He has great wit and is a perfect foil for Eddie J and the often dull David C. It was a great pity that Martin Brundle left the BBC coverage last season.

Much as I enjoy looking at and hearing the dulcit Scottish tones of Lee McKenzie, when she stood in for Jake she didn't have that extra ingredient. She gets on extremely well with all the drivers though (not surprisingly) - She even brought a smile to Kimi's face!:

Will she be the one to step in?

Gutted.

He has be excellent all weekend and deserved the car to at least allow him to finish.

Seb wins and very graciously pays homage to The Prof :notworthy:

Jenson p2, Fernando p3.

Seb's helmet very cool and appropriate for Singapore at night   :notworthy:

Technically still not confirmed but a good move for hammy. Macca have dropped the ball and now won't have a top driver in their linup

I know its only a sport and I shouldnt get too involved but I feel really gutted about this. Always been a lewis / McLaren fan .

This must be what you gooners felt like when RVP left .

I personally think Hamilton needs to experience life in another team. I think his attitude, or more specifically his change in attitude during his time at McLaren speaks volumes about both him, and the people around him. It also highlights McLarens failings on driver development. I realise they are hamstrung by sponsorship, but I do feel they should have moved heaven and earth to keep hold of him.

Still, Perez is a great replacement, and if it means Di Resta replaces Massa then I am more than happy.

Yes also agree that lewis seems to have become and arrogant gangster prick. I follow him on twitter and half the stuff he says is showing off. COmpared to following button where he is always doing charity work. Lewis's management seemt o have turned him for the worse.

His biggest mistake of his whole career was getting rid of his dad as manager I reckon.

One thing I find confusing is the people who berate Hamilton for moving for economic reasons. Even if his decision was based purely on money, what's so bad about that? Surely it's the major factor for most people when changing employers...

I too am unhappy with the move as I loved having the two best brit drivers at McLaren.

Regardless of money, if I was an F1 driver and had the chance to work for Ross Brawn I'd jump at the chance.
