This isn't the exact bumper im referring to but this would do the trick. Maybe some of the soot chuckers could help you with part numbers etc?  :happy2:

i see well i dont suppose anyone has a part number for it do they? would help me out greatly,

and another question, when I do the gti conversion on my car, i'll want to colour code as my car is silver but the door handles and side strips are textured black i think, one painter told me he wouldn't do it for a couple months if I've used any black restorers on them due to the silicone content, and another one said I might need new side strips as they're glued on, i can get hold of primed side strips but i would just like to ask if anyone else has ever colour coded their car and knows any good people who can do it im in leicestershire but willing to travel to get it done properly!

anything in particular to polish with? ive got t-cut?

I wouldn't use T-Cut as it's quite abrasive and you may scratch it. Wax will do the job, just something to break the sticky down to clear the left over adhesive!  :happy2:

Something like Auto Glym tar remover will lift any glue left behind straight off.

im not too fussed about the votex front, i'll be getting the vagen gti conversion bumper as i cant be bothered to change the slam panel and member, the i want the discrete rear as i dont really want the gti twin exhaust look as my car doesnt give the same power as a gti, but i do want to change the front and rear for the better!

The guy i work with got his colour coded at the VW garage he got the car from, not sure on the area so will ask tomorrow but he lives in Coalville.

As others have said i think your just after the earlier 140TDI bumper, dont know part numbers though......could be worth a call to VW?

The GT sport 140 comes with the crappy plastic one as shown on the first page, there isn't a standard rear valance that looks like the GTi without the cutouts.

There's an ED30 replica without the cutout

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-5-V-Rear-Bumper-Individual-R-Line-R32-GTI-GT_W0QQitemZ280336988479QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item280336988479&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1689|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:1|294:50

Also, if you can get the votex valance for £50 I'll snap your arm off LOL.

The Votex rear is a two piece thing of beauty.

No idea on the quality of the ebay bumper, it's from germany so chances are it's quite good
