It seems almost all ed30 clutches are slipping after remaps at the moment.  Does this issue effect s3's??

I would have thought that the S3's would be worse as they are trying to put the power down through 4 wheels and so the wheels don't spin as much, so there would be more pressure on them. Unless they already have a different/uprated clutch to handle it.?

Its my understanding that the 08 onward S3's have a sachs clutch, not like the 1 VWR are fitting of course, but before that they had a LUK(I think) which was not as strong. This is all forum based knowledge though never seen anything in print :smiley:

They have changed a lot of bits on the newer S3's!

the clutch change was pre-facelift I believe, yes there plenty of changes for the facelift

The clutch that came off my car was a LUK clutch :happy2:

Tornado red ED30, Revo stage 2, ITG Panel filter, 3" Blueflame turbo back exhaust, leon cupra front brakes, ecs dogbone mount, WALK kit, Eibach sportlines, Satin black Monza II's, VWR/sachs paddle clutch

Im @ 10k miles since remap too on original clutch...... :driver: :scared:

no clutch slip on mine and ive had the remap on 2 years  :jumpmove:

I not sure wether the ED30 clutch was updated at 08, but the S3 one deffo was :happy2:
