Suspension problem?
« on: March 16, 2012, 01:47:04 pm »
Hi guys,

Noticed on my journey today that I can hear a crashing sound coming from my front drivers side wheel going over bumps at Low speeds. Almost a twang sound. Can't feel though the car and feels normal at speed.

Slightly alarmed as It looks like I've lost ride height from that side of the car? Any ideas?

Suspension is standard btw

Thanks,

Ryan

How much ride height have you lost?

Could be a broken spring, I have seen this before on a Mk5.

Not sure but a nice height lol

And you're quite correct, it's the spring..

How on earth has that happened and how much of my hard earned cash am I going to be relieved of? :(

I've emailed midland vw to get a price on fix. Not happy, been really saving the pennies this month and it's all wasted now :(
