R32 boot floor tray
« on: May 01, 2009, 01:23:05 pm »
I'm after the polystyrene boot sections that go under the floor on an R32 to give clearance for the spare wheel.

This will allow me enough height to run a full sized spare in the boot, as I can't be bothered swapping a rear in the event of a puncture on the front, as the spacesaver won't go over the brakes.

Anyone able to find the part nos?

I would say do a search on the other forum, i cant for the life of me remember who it was but they got one no problem and it needed a slight modification to work, my guess is it was around the August time last year when posted.

Tony I think these are what your after its in 2 pieces so right side is 1K6 858 858C left side is 1K6 858 857B that is for the 2 wheel drive the r32 4 motion ones are right side 2 pieces top side 1K6 858 858D bottom side 1K6 858 858E these are due to no boot floor so there to store the tools or and compressor wheel gunk.

Hope that helps

Sorry JPC im confused,  how do you mean does it have a gap for tow bar?  If you mean the R32 boot floor then no it doesn't you carn't fit a tow bar to a r32...if you mean does the foam insert have a space for the towing ball im not sure but I dont think so.

i had a look on etka today, it seems theres two parts (which would be suitable for mike aka tony danza)

number 8 and 5

and what i was wanting to know, was there something that would fit in that to house a towbar.
turns out number 7 was what i needed!

so i ordered 5, 7 and 8 today with the dealer.

i will be picking them up in the morning! ill post up some pics

Good man!

I'll just order 5 & 8, as my existing spare wheel toolkit holder will fit in the full sized spare the same as it does in the space-saver.

I'm sure I've seen mentioned somewhere before of a full size spare floor insert as an available accessory.  Probably just the same thing mind!  :happy2:
