2nd service
« on: May 07, 2009, 10:55:00 am »
hey guys not sure if this right place to post
super numpty newbie question coming up............. :ashamed:
need to get second (i believe)service done at 36k and on long life before i get it re mapped next month
got 35k on clock at mo
spoke to guy who has done all my previous cars- trust him implicitly but he isnt a vag specialist
quoted me £150 for oil/filters-no plugs plus vat and and extras they find but no vagcom to check fault codes etc
local inchcape vw wants 350 plus vat but will obviousl;y get codes checked etc
i,m out of warranty now anyway but should i go with a good garage even tho not vw specialist?

and dealer also quoted me 190 for the dsg service which is due at 40k.
sorry dumb questions

2nd longlife serivce?
is your indicator on?

its enrtily upto you at the end of the way.. £350 seems excesive.. sure if i did a quote it would be less...
the good thing about keeping your services with vw is to do with goodwill.. if anything were to be wrong with vehicle, after out of warranty, that you would have to pay for, vw offer goodwill, but only to loyal customers...
