Help, the slats on centre vent, part numbers
« on: March 21, 2012, 04:38:58 pm »
Grr these bloody slats  :fighting:

The slat system just falls to pieces when unattached, worst design EVER. I've now lost a piece (looked absolutely everywhere, where the hell do things go?)

Anyway, obviously you can't buy the slats on their own, so which part of the dash vent system do I need. I've been to VW, they didn't know what part I needed.

So i've taken pictures and took note of part numbers, am still confused, one part has 2 part numbers on it

This is my dash just now due to losing the rag and throwing the remaining slats in the bin

Pictures with part number IKO 819 743 B, This is the front of the dash with the levers to direct the air

Obviously slats sit between that front part of the dash and the plastic part behind it which funnels the air. This is the part with 2 part numbers

So which part comes with the slats? Or if I have to order 2 parts together with the slats all fitted and sandwiched between the front ann back parts, which of the 2 part numbers on the behind part, do I use?

Cheers
