Tail Light Function

Here is an OCD style question for you...

My OEM and recently fitted R32 Taillights only light up the outer half circle (if that makes sense...!) when the sidelights or dipped beams are on. When I apply the brake that outer half circle gets brighter.

The inner half circle of the tail lights dont ever seem to light up... I have seem a few threads on wiring the inner taillights (boot lid) but it is the lights on the body that I am on about.

I am sure I have seen countless MkV's with the full circle lit up when the side/dipped headlights are on.

Should the full ring light up? If so have I done somethign random on VCDS?!

Sounds odd. I'm sure when the headlights are on, the outer tail lights light up in a circle.

Thats what I thought should happen...

I evidently got my wires crossed...

The inner circle lights up with side/headlights and the outer circle comes on with the brake...

Could it be a VCDS thing?

Managed to sort it :-)

Brake light as parking light was set to 0. Now set as 20% the same as the side light.
