My mate owns a focus RS, he has made some kind of polystyrene magnetic thing for the side of his car    he puts it on when parking at home for this very reason. Id consider it if i didn't have my own drive!

I would dig up th front garden and move you car over!!!  If someone owns a crappy car and crappy conditon then they probably don't care about cars and don't realise other people do car about theirs.

Your only option is to have a civilized chat with the neighbour and express how much care and attention goes into your car. One ding and you will notice.

Invite them round for a few drinks as a welcome, and let them know youre after a fresh couple, suggest that people from your building usually have a sociable tradition that involves a glass bowl and their car keys. If they refuse then they wont want to go near anything of yours, if they agree then get the tarpaulin down on the carpet, pop on your snorkel and flippers and reach for the lube. happy days!

Feel for you fella. Whenever I am in a car park I drive round and round looking for some nice cars to park next to. My wife spends the whole time saying "what's wrong with that space.......or that space". Never park next to a heap of s**t, having one park next to you everyday is cause for paranoia in my book.
And yes it is just a chunk of metal (allbeit a nice one)

I understand your dilemna, since owning ours i've had to bollock one near neighbour for her shoddy parking - she left her car front bumper to front bumper with ours, luckily no damage but i didn't half let her have both barrels (no swearing mind otherwise you've lost the high ground).

I've also told the kids off for skateboarding around it - they ollie up onto the pavement next to it and that's a big no-no. The umpteenth time of doing it i sternly spoke to one of them, felt a bit bad so gave it 10 minutes and then went over to calmly talk him through why i didn't want him pulling tricks on his skateboard next to his car. I was once young, however my dad would have bollocked me rather than a neighbour for doing something like that around other folks' properties but what can i say, standards are obviously slipping, parents don't care etc...

I know how you feel I kept getting dents in my typeR about 7 in total always parked next to the same car only on one side too...didn't have a way to prove it though until was sat in my girlfriends car one day and we both saw it happen....wasn't a light tap either... Anyway she turned out to be the Jehovah's witness from upstairs and she paid for them all to be removed and valeted!! Sold it a couple of weeks earlier for the Eddy!

well thats the first dink on my drivers door. Its on the door protector strip which is something at least. Nae happy. Going to have to try and park it somewhere else.

Worked well but took a lot of concentration, i eff and blind more than i should in normal speech so to have a bit of the red mist and not trigger the beep machine every 3rd syllable was quite an achievement  The neighbour in question rarely ever parks near our car now and that's no mean feat on her behalf with the lack of spaces on our street

No your not. Im just as bad. im lucky that i can park at the side of the house and at work it goes in a small car park on its own 

Just recently though the local kids have started running down the access road close to the house and far too close to the car eddie for my liking, next time im out i will be having a quiet word again, just like last year
