So I was thinking of selling up...
« on: March 24, 2012, 11:46:32 pm »
I found rust spots coming through every corner, looked on here for people in the same boat, cost of replacement wings etc...ended up buying a MFSW and cruise, and Highline booked for next week  :signLOL:

Has anyone came close to selling and changed their mind?

6 months ago I bought a diesel Rav4 T180 as a replacement, hoping to sell Eddie afterwards, to save being without a car. I even took a deposit after the first viewing. I was changing the head unit back to standard as she wanted that, accidentally turned on the airbag light, told her she would have to wait a few days for me to remove the light. So I took Eddie out in that time and fell back on love. Sold the Rav to my father!

The nice long drive back from Golfman fitting the MFSW confirmed my love for the car. Every time I think about selling, something happens to remind me why I bought it.

I guess it's like being married. Expensive to maintain, gives you the odd headache, the odd mark here and there with age...then you go for a fantastic ride and everything's great again

Yes mate, i was in exactly the same predicament before christmas. I was at stage 2+ and stripped the car back to standard ready to sell. I saw what they were selling for and just thought bugger that, im not losing £x amount on it, so after much deliberation i have decided to keep the car and go further than i had previously, so have started collecting parts all over again.  :signLOL: at the end of the day what else is out there that can be tuned for 3-4k and gives that much enjoyment along with the build quality they have. Yes they have their bad points but personally i think the good points out weigh the bad.
