Clocks can't be fitted by my vw specialist so its upto the good old Kalu to sort them out. Finished work, stripped out the clocks ready to post in the morning :)

Woke up early waiting for the mail to come like a little boy at christmas   The new clocks from Kalu arrived 20 minutes ago so got them fitted straight away, and even better no errors on the dash :D A highline display really does improve the look, why didn't GTI's come with them as standard??  :fighting:

Well I just need to get the convenience module fitted which I'll get done soon with the help of justsean, fingers crossed  :jumpmove:

A huuuge thanks to Kalu for swapping the mileage over, a complete legend  :drinking: :drinking:

Thanks scopes, loving your carbon bonnet!

Dead easy actually, take your battery off, lower your steering wheel, pull the plastic rim at the bottom of the dash to gain access to the 2star screws, unscrew them and take out the dash, it's abit fiddly getting around the wheel but all in all it takes 5 minutes :) Obvisouly there's the mileage issue to sort out but Kalu is your man for that :D

This car is fantastic mate! I have the same colour but it's completely standard at the moment. Will be using your build thread as inspiration I think!

I love the rear bumper! Did you just spray the black one? Take it any bodyshop will do that for me? Any idea how much?

Oh also can you get that gearknob of ebay? It reminds me of my old mk2gti golf ball one, would love that.

Thanks,

Dan

Cheers Dan  :happy2:

I got the bodyshop to smooth as it's textured.... and spray the gti bumper for £120 which isn't a bad price.  As long as they're a trust worthy bodyshop you'll be fine.

The gearknob is out of a 30 edition so just keep your eyes peeled on ebay ;)

On other news I'm getting the ccm fitted and coded tomorrow so fingers crossed I'll have the convenience menu :)

Xmas list is looking like a revo map if I can scrape enough money together. Problem is my tax, mot and service is all due in December :(

Same here all my car stuff goes out in December!

I know a the receptionist at the bodyshop and she said £110-150 usually so that's cool. Are you getting the sides done also? I'm not sure about that, quite like the black on my side skirts, but then it wont match with the bumper if I didn't do them I guess?

Wouldn't mind a revo map either, see its +35-60 bhp gain, surprised me that! Bet that would put insurance up a bit though...

I'll be getting the sides done next year, but not the front as I'll eventually get a vortex spoiler, no rush for them yet :)

I'm guessing the insurance won't be too bad, there's plenty of good insurance companies on here.

Looks good! Might have to do the same to the rear bumper on my silver one as well :)

Cheers mate  :drinking:

On other news the highline ccm is fitted and I've now got all the extra features, just have to get the rain closing working as I haven't coded it all  :rolleye: I'm also looking at activating emergency flash breaking and a few other things, just have to wait and see :)

Also fitted a silver ashtray, just waiting for the bloody euro cup holder to arrive..... 8 days now....
