Wrapping 3D badge
« on: March 25, 2012, 12:13:30 pm »
Good god, what a nightmare.

If anyone here has managed it then please let me know the secret.

I;ve the 3D badge which came away nicely though the edges had creases........absolute disaster.

Found this on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260980119594?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3747wt_1219

would it be a straight fit?

Great

Think I might just have to spray it.

They do the mk5 one now.

But the grey background comes with it, though the badge part I removed just has the VW silver part.....what's that all about??

The problem is that if you spray it i can almost guarantee that it will chip especially if your a motorway slag like me.   :signLOL:

is this a direct fitment with no modding involved? only asking as it stated from 04- onwards but the rear badges differ i.e. flat/3D!

They said it replaces the silver VW badge. Though there is no background on the existing one. Might take a punt and see if it fits.

And Rich....yes, motorway slag. Wrapping was the option though I just can;t do it.....need someone to help ;)

To be honest... you might as well buy the ebay ones if you just want black.  :signLOL: Its massively time consuming to do these badges.  :scared:

Thought that myself TBH.

Well that was a waste of time.......it's a sticky badge so not a clip replacement for the boot emblem.

So now to spray the badge

Isn't this what you want? I've got one of these sat next to me that I haven't got round to fitting yet. I did a bit of research on here and the golf gti forum and it seemed quite popular.
