boot handles question?

just want to know there are different boot handle part number but all look the same near enough
i know that they will fit but will i need vagcom aswel or is it a straight swap

3C5827469B
3C5827469C
3C5827469D
3C5827469E
3C5827469F

also there are ones from passats, golf mk6, jettas and eos with same part numbers but some have slightly different bolt holes

i went to vw dealer they said i can only use 3C5827469D boot handle

Why are you changing it , whiteworm? Mine is starting to go as well , so I'm going to have to change it at some point - i think the later plastic ones feel a bit cheap and flimsy compared to the metal one on the early cars though.

I replaced mine with one from a mk6 the mk6 sits out slightly from the boot but looks smart and totally worth doing

Just brought the mk6 one off flea bay hopefully the part number won't cause an issue part ive ordered is the 3C5827469E  and mine is the D apparently from what the dealer said
