Apple guru required for a quick question

I've got ITunes on my desktop for my iPhone. My girlfriend is getting an iPhone so can she have a separate iTunes on the same computer or will it bunch it all together? I'm not that familiar with iTunes so it's probably a daft question. Thanks

Essentially you can sync two iPhones to the same iTunes just fine, all back-up data and phone settings will be stored separately. You can select different music etc to sync to each phone from the same library - don't bother creating another account it just makes things more complicated!

I know what you mean but the thing is, our musical tastes differ quite substantially and we both have only 16gb on our phones. So I don't and she doesn't want a load of music that we aren't going to listen to clogging up our phones.

You don't have to, if all the music is in the same iTunes you can just select what syncs. Or create 2 playlists "His and Hers" and just sync one to each phone.

Ok I see. My girlfriends isn't coming till Friday so I'll have a look
