Very strange air con antics!!!!

Done some searching and nothing quiet like my air on issue came up, hence this post.
When turning auto on strange sound comes from pedal area plus no cold air comes out. Revs drop when auto button is switched on. Even stranger is that When I switch the auto button on it auto goes to 22 degrees and won't be go lower than 16 degrees, if I turn it to lo auto switches off???

Any suggestions or advice what to do or how to fix it would be great!!!

It wont stay on auto if you put it on Lo cos it has nothing to control/Regulate. The A/C will just keep cooling the car.

The revs drop cos the compressor is engaging and putting a load on the engive.

The noise behind the pedals is probably relays and louvers moving behind the dash doing their job

Ok thanks. The noise wasn't their before when I switched it on, only recently started doing it and very noticeable.
Why may no cold air be coming out?

no cold air may mean you need to have the system regassed/recharged  :happy2:

Took your advice, went to local kwick fit £50 all done!! Low on gas 151g and only 2ml of oil so it was topped up to 525g and 12ml running lovely ice cold now.  :happy2: thanks for advice  :happy2:
