The conti sport 3's are also very very good on the 135i in 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. Drove one a few months back with this setup and I was massively impressed. Cheaper than the Michelin ps3's as well.

Jason@ birdsbmw also recommends the above.

I ran lassa on the trophy one winter, they were actually ok, but then it rained  :signLOL: and yes I know budget tyres on a renaultsport that only does corners :stupid:

I've had them on something else, found the sidewalls a bit soft but all round a very good tyre. I'd been half tempted by the Asymm 2 reviews, but I'll end up buying MPS, I always do....

Yet to find out for sure if SuperSports come in 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rears - anyone know??

My experiance in more than 20 years spending much time and brain about tyres is that
there is no premium quality ony tyres made in countries like Romania, Turkey or China.

Go for first class rubber like Bridgestone, Conti, Dunlop, Michelin or Pirelli especially on
a higher powered car like the GTI.

No-names from Turkey will be heavy, less precise and much worse on wet roads I bet.

It's quite an old topic but I wanted to say don't underestimate Lassa Tyres.
They have very good tyres, highly demanded even in US by Subaru Impreza drivers, where they do not have a official presence.
I'm so happy with my tyres and wrote this here to let any one not to disregard Lassa Tyres and pay more for other brands.

Thank you...

I've had f1 asy fitted to my e46 m3 supercharged to 485bhp & 375lbft,it was a brilliant all round tyre...liked the tires so much that I fitted it to the ed30(front) so far I'm happy with them...my advice is to spend a bit more on tires & choose a well known brand or a tire with good reviews
