Clicking when applying brakes.
« on: March 29, 2012, 09:25:22 am »
Hi, Im wondering if anyone has any ideas. Just recently my car/ brakes has started to make a single click noise almost every time I apply the brakes. I cant work out what it is thats clicking but I don't think its the brake pedal. Could it be my brake pads or something. Sorry to be so vague.  :rolleye:

Does the click happen when the engine's off?  Is it electrical-sounding?  Where's it coming from, exactly?

My first guess would be the brake light switch - and you want that to work!

No it doesn't sound like anything electrical and only happens when driving.
I took all my wheels off today and cleaned around the brakes etc and the noise seems to have gone away for now but will keep an eye on it to see if it comes back.

Cheers  :happy2:
