traffic button does what ?

can anyone tell me if I should be getting anything other than --- no messages --- when I press the traffic button on my rnh510h
hasn't done anything since I got it installed,,, is it meant to work lol

It should show you any traffic problems in your area

Mine used to show me traffic problems as far away as leeds, which is a good 40miles away and now it doesnt work at all. Keep getting no messages constantly

Mine gets on my nerves as info leave it it doesn't say anything, if I've got a route planned it flashes up with anything on my route but sometimes after I cancel a route or just press it to have a look it continues to update and give announcements when I don't want it to. Touch wood its been ok lately

I consider this very strange! Of the little time I had my RNS 510 in my car, the traffic update worked every time. Maybe try your car next to Someone else and see what both cars say?

thanks for your help guys, found the problem, its to do with the type of map I have, the traffic management has been disabled, seemingly it is a subscription service, got someone looking into it for me with a possible fix soon
