So i had it dyno'd today...

I was keen to see what it was kicking out standard before i started playing with it just 'cause i was curious and it would be nice to see what gains i see after i've done bits to it, so i took it a local place by me who specialise in VAG and other general tuning, Vanquish Performance. They use a Dyno Dynamics RR so i know the figures are going to be spot on, the service was also very good too, they're a good bunch of lads!

Anyway, it made 229bhp and 239lb/ft which im pretty chuffed with tbh, thats bang on!

Also got a couple of other things on the go, got some S3 front brakes i'm having refurbed at the minute and i've recently bought and fitted MFSW controls so i just need to go and see Kalu now to have some highline clocks fitted.

had mine dyno'd there, also got it mapped by lee.
you local are you?

Thought id bring this back up from the dead, haven't updated it in aaages and i've had a couple of things done.

Soooo, i bought an ITG kit, it came with ceramic coated hard piping too. This got fitted and the car sounded so much better straight away! Proper turbo sucking noises.

I wasn't into the ceramic coating thought so took it off, got it blasted and powder coated black and bought a new foam heatshield as the other one was tatty, i thought this looked alot better!

I then had my steering wheel re trimmed by my mate and added later MF buttons for when i fit highline clocks..

He also leathered the rear of the wheel too, which was a proper nice touch!

If anyone is after steering wheel re trimming, gimme a shout.  :happy2:

Then the proper fun started, i had originally bought a de cat downpipe off TFSI Mike and when i went to collect it from BCS i got chatting to Dave, half an hour later i left with the downpipe i had bought back up for sale so i could get myself booked in for a full exhaust with Dave. I am so chuffed i did this, the car had a 3" turbo back de cat system with their 2 box's, he also wrapped the downpipe for me. The quality is immense and the noise is something else, everyone who hears the car comments on how well it sounds.  :notworthy:

After this the car got booked in for a cambelt and minor service at VW, i bought Auto tech fuel pump internals along with a brand new cam follower, sadly no pictures of these being fitted but its pretty boring stuff anyway.

The car has then had the map tweeked by a good mate Rick who runs Unicorn Motor Developments, he properly knows his stuff and said he would write me a custom map.

So far its only had a quick play with as Rick needs to map the DSG before we can go more power, the boost has been turned upto 1.2 bar and a bit of fuel added. Its like a totally different car compared to standard, its a proper laugh now, goes really well!

Then at the weekend i managed to get onto a Ford organised rolling road day at Awesome and the car made 320bhp and 320lb/ft. I'm a bit dubious on the figures as we all know Awesomes dyno can be a bit off but i reckon its a genuine 300bhp, deffo feels it!

A quick vid, was chuffed when the lad did a run going through the gearbox, sounds immense!

&feature=youtu.be

And the graph...

Thats it for now, i'm properly enjoying the car now, whenever i drive it i have a MASSIVE smile on my face! Should hopefully be mapping the DSG and upping to boost to 1.5+ bar over the next couple of weeks, i cant wait.

Hopefully more updates soon.  :notworthy:

Epic motor, everything done right (steering wheel attention to detail is special)

Sounds special aswel, big pops with DSG.

But then you knew all this
