Some tasty cars...............  enjoy,

http://www.insideline.com/features/photos/collection-of-a-lifetime-gallery.html

this below reminds of seeing him go off in Clocaenog forest and tear the car apart.  He just got us all to push him out and on he went  belching steam and smoke minus most of the bodywork.  I took a bit home, and think it is in the loft somewhere........

Wonderful collection of cars there. Reminds me of when I used to go marshalling on the RAC rally in Dalby forest, waiting in the dark eating bacon sandwiches.  :happy2:
Did like the sound of the Group B cars, the 6R4 sounded fab. Shame the rally is based in Wales and doesn't come up north these days.
Bye Bye Edition 30.

I remember doing the tour with the Rally.  Me and my dad took a firms car (brand new Ford Orion - they had just come out in the UK) and doing the Welsh Stages (just down the road from family home), Kielder, Chatsworth and all those stages.  THe rally was based in Chester a lot during my youth.

Had an Opel Manta 1.9 with the biggest Valved head known to man, twin 45 DCOE's with a Manta 400 bodykit on as a lad (over 20 years ago!  Blimey).  Thought I was Jimmy McRae.......... :driver:

Ye sounds familiar, Chatsworth, Trenthem Gardens etc . Went up to Harrogate one year for the start too.
Watched Rally Report every night for an update . :signLOL: Favourite "tape" in the car at the time was Propaganda - "Duel". Ride was a Mk II Escort with quad Cebie lights on the front.  :driver:
Bye Bye Edition 30.

used to follow the lombard rally for a full week from stage to stage--not that you could see much in the dark at kielder forest except the sound of the exhaust and the glowing red discs but excellent times
