Retrofitting MDI and standalone Aux-In - RNS510
« on: April 01, 2012, 04:51:08 pm »
Hi all

I've just won a bargain on ebay - MDI box with cabling etc for not very much and i'm gna be fitting it in once it arrives, however i'm also going to be fitting in my aux-input....

i've noticed whilst reading up on the wiring however that the MDI plug takes up the aux-in pins...

is there ANY way of retaining a SEPERATE aux-in socket and also the MDI?

(i know i can get an MDI 3.5mm lead, however the MDI's gna be sitting in the glovebox and the aux-in is going to be next to my ESP/TPMS switch so i can plug in my phone to listen to my internet radio...)

what are my options?....

No but it's piss easy to do. You need to run the loom through the centre console. pop the gear knob gaiter up so you can see where the loom is running and the rest you will figure out once your doing it.
