That was awful, we just sat in the queue for ages not moving, couldn't understand why, plus the motorbikes push in as well.

Have you got that vid Ben?

Brilliant conversion - good to see it's being put to use!

Enjoyed the vid - pretty poor driving by that silver mk3 driver at the start of the vid. Seems completely unaware. Never seen anything like it when I've ventured on track!

So, you are in a prime position now to say whether or not you believe FWD or AWD is better on track?

Awesome vid too Dan. Liking the commitment on some of those turns. :driver:
Golf R gone.

AWD is better for big power, theres no doubting that.  But you put a FWD 260Hp GTI against a 260Hp Golf R and the GTI will be better.  The biggest improvement AWD will bring to a driver is it means they dont need to have any form of throttle control.  Just use it as an on/off switch and let the haldex soak up the traction.

I personally like Haldex, and would love it for my next car, but i dont think its better for driving.

So to summarise...

Haldex is better for big bhp cars (anything over 260bhp?)
AWD means not having to use throttle control, which by implication means that you need to adjust throttle in a fwd car, ergo a fwd car is less stable.
A FWD Golf GTI would be faster than a 4WD Golf R with the same power.......in the dry

I'm sold on 4WD already Sy. :innocent:

Golf R gone.
