DanGB's Leon Sport TFSI 4WD Sleeper - The End
« on: April 01, 2012, 05:47:29 pm »
Just realised I dont have my own build thread on here  :surprised:

So thought I might as well as im getting back into the car this year after it was neglected last year.

So, the story begins here:
I bought a new Seat Leon Sport TFSI back in April 2006 like this:

Started off of a 185hp top spec (at the time) Leon, then the FR, Cupra, and then Cupra R came out.

since then spent far to much money on it in the form of this:

Engine:

APR Stage 3 Big turbo conversion:
Garret GT2871RS Turbo GTX2876R Now
APR Manifold + downpipe
APR Intercooler
APR Fuel pump
APR Injectors
APR/Carbonio closed intake
APR 155bar fuel rail valve
TTRS Intank pump

Intergrated engineering connecting rods.
APR Hi-flowed head.
APR Runner flap delete

Snow performance Stage 2 TFSI Boost cooler - Water methanol injection kit. (Broken )
BSH stage 2 PCV Catch can.
APR RSC Full turboback exhaust
Southbend Stage 3 Clutch with ligtened SMF
Forge shortshifter
VWracing engine mounts.

Handling:
All wheel drive Haldex conversion
KW Variant 3 Coilovers
H&R Front and rear ARB's - stiff variety
Whitleline anti lift kit
AP Racing 6 piston calipers and AP rotors/bells. TTRS Calipers and AP Racing 362mm fully floating rotors.
Currently Pagid yellow pads - soon to be Project Mu.
ATE Superblue brake fluid
10mm H&R spacers on the front to clear the calipers

Interior:
Retrofitted the OEM Bluetooth system with a new instrument cluster
Had the MFD3 for a while, but not anymore

Exterior:
Seat Sport BBS 18x7.5 wheels with R888's currently.
Stud conversion

Havent done much to it over the last two years really, but now getting into it again and after a bit more power. Had the APR stage 3 since the start of 2008 so used to it now

About 390 -395 now.

The car is currently at APR HQ getting a new low side fuel pump as its running out at the top end.
Once this is in, they will map as much power as can be had (as its already got rods), then I will test the Race  fuel map with the WMI which should yield even bigger increases

just screwing appropriately sized and cut studs (same thread as wheel bolt) and using thread locker to keep them semi-permanent. Then the nuts screw on to secure the wheel.
This makes removing/replacing wheels a lot easier and it certainly helps on the front as I have a spacer fitted.

WHat wheels are they, Dan?

They are SEAT Accessory wheels.

Seat Sport made by BBS  - 18x7.5 ET54. Ordered them with the car and sold the 17's that it came with.
