WMI with a 50/50 mix should be the equivalent of permanently running 110+ Ron race fuel with the supercooling of a hyper efficient intercooler. This allows you to run much more timing advance without the ecu giving any pull. Should give a good 20+ bhp extra over stage 2+ with the higher mapping to take advantage of the WMI.  :happy2:
Golf R gone.

Worst case scenario has come true. the disc has welded to the flywheel. New clutch time.

Not handy Dan - Any ideas which one you fancy replacing it with?

How have you found the 888's so far by the way?

According to his first post a Southbend stage 4 kit with lightened flywheel

But he's had that for a few years and giving it some serious abuse!

Going for a Southbend Stage 3 clutch -ie; not feramic material, so no chance of welding this time.

R888's seem good, not really pushed them yet, not sure on the noise as had the seats stripped out at the same time, but they feel good :)

In a way it actually feel's slower now as the map is so much more linear, meaning I can actually get most of the power down in 3rd gear and some in second now at full throttle.  :signLOL:

Re: DanGB's Leon Sport TFSI - Exhaust upgrade
« Reply #44 on: May 22, 2012, 12:09:56 pm »
Bit of an update.

Had the intake cam repalced due to it causing excess and uneven wear on the cam follower. We found it already had a B cam in it.

Also had a new exhaust fitted. Previously had a 2.75 milltek all the way, now have a 3" APR RSC full system, currently with a sports cat, but that might go soon!
This exhaust sounds very different than the milltek, similar at WOT, but low revs it sounds much more straight through and gives some subtle popping and occasional bang.
Very quite on motorway driving which is nice, as I currently have the rear seats removed.

I much prefer the tips on these rather than the old milltek, and they are easier to clean!
