WTF!!!!! Never seen that on a tyre before.

On a plus note, a least it solves your where to run the R888 tyres though

Think its dust/gravel mainly. But, it is quite smokey - so much fuel pressure.

The Golf R is the worst ive seen for this i think, was surprised mine did it on the RR

I'd wager that's a pretty dangerous tyre now then, lol.  What's causes it?  Poor manufacturing? Too high pressure, heat...

Is it not beneficial to have the R888's on the rear to stop the rear breaking loose?

I dont intend to the replace the R888's, im just waiting for them to wear out tbh.

I prefer the extra grip at the front and have a more playful rear end. :happy2: if the rear does break loose the Haldex will just shove the power back to the front anyway.
Golf R gone.

Went to pod today for some runs. got a pair on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's on the front first.

Not great really, struggled with the launches, really bogging most of the time, and it seems really hard to get smooth gear changes with my car - noted by someone else as well.

PS: I dont like drag racing..  :stupid:

Black smoke is the ECU over-fuelling. May be worth having a look at your map and getting it tweaked a little?

Last time I was at JKM, the Revo Ed30's  in particular were very smokey  :chicken:

Not ideal, but won't do any harm

Is keith still only stage 3 or is he running stage 3+?  I see he was in the 11.5 area now on pump fuel!!!  Someone should make him put a GTx30 on his. Surely a 10 sec run to be had!

I ended up taking the BM down yesterday Dan and saw both you and Keith running (have videos of both of you too). I was going to come over and say hi but the one chance I got you were away from your car and the rest of the time I was sat in the bloody queue (never known so many break downs tbh, bloody Vauxhalls).  :fighting:

Definitely some potential there mate.. :happy2:
